Who I help
I support KS3 (Years 7-9) and GCSE students (AQA, Edexcel and IB exam boards), particularly those who:
- Lack confidence in maths
- Feel 'stuck' or behind in class
- Are working towards improving exam grades
- Need structured, calm and consistent support
- Want to feel more prepared for assessments and exams
I also support selected KS3 and GCSE science students.
About Me
I am a qualified teacher of over 10 years with extensive experience in both classroom teaching and school leadership.
I have previously worked as:
- Head of Mathematics Faculty
- Head of Year
- Head of Pupil Wellbeing
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Alongside this, I currently tutor students through school-based and private tuition settings.
My experience means I understand not only the academic side of learning maths, but also the confidence, motivation and mindset challenges that often hold students back.
Regularly revisit learning to ensure long-term retention

Online Sessions
Perfect if you are a bit further afield or logistics are tricky. Online sessions make lessons flexible, convenient and accessible from home.
Students will need:
- A device with internet access (not a mobile phone)
- A web camera (if not already integrated into a laptop)
- A pen and paper for working out
- A scientific calculator
This setup allows us to focus fully on learning, without travel delays or other disruption.
